Guanajuato is a state in the central highlands of Mexico. It is named after its capital city, Guanajuato, which comes from the local indigenous language, meaning
“Hill of Frogs.”
Guanajuato state is considered the geographic center of Mexico, and it’s got some of the most famous tourist spots and colonial villages of Mexico’s, as San Miguel de Allende, Atotonilco and Guanajuato city. All declared by UNESCO world heritage sites.
The first battle in Mexico’s war for independence took place in Dolores hidalgo, where back in 1810 the independence army started a war against the Spaniards. Also home state of muralist Diego Rivera and singer-songwriter José Alfredo Jimenez.
Riders will have the opportunity to ride thru El Camino Real (Spanish for "the Royal Road", and often called "the King's Highway" in English) is the name of a number of long roads and trails, linking the various colonies of Spain in the Americas.
Used during the Spanish colony, the independence war of Mexico, and the revolution by Pancho Villa. The lodgings at beautiful hotels, located on small settlements and villages.
